Bringing Childhood Memories Full Circle Through Storytelling
There’s something about Hawaii that sticks with you.
I visited a couple of times as a kid, and even though those memories are soft around the edges now—sun on my face, sand in my shoes, and the sound of waves crashing in the background—the feeling has never left.
Even while living in Canada for most of my life, I always felt this pull back to Hawaii. It’s not just the beauty (though yeah, it’s unreal). It’s the energy. The rhythm. The way the islands seem to breathe with you. I’ve always known that one day, I’d return—not just to visit, but to tell stories there.
As a wedding photographer, there are places that naturally align with the way I see and capture the world. Hawaii is one of those places.
Hawaii offers such a perfect blend of natural beauty and soulfulness. It’s one of those rare places that feels simultaneously expansive and intimate, which is exactly how I approach wedding photography.
I don’t just look for big, bold landscapes (though Hawaii has those in abundance)—I look for emotion, connection, texture, and movement. And whether you’re saying your vows with your toes in the sand or dancing under string lights at a lanai reception, Hawaii has a way of elevating those moments without trying too hard.
Each island has its own personality, and honestly? I’d love the chance to shoot on any of them. But here are a few places that get my imagination going:
From the iconic beaches of Waikiki to the lush, waterfall-filled valleys of the North Shore, Oahu gives you a little bit of everything. I’d love to capture a wedding here that mixes city energy with peaceful oceanfront moments.
The Road to Hana. Haleakalā at sunrise. Cliffside ceremonies with sweeping views of the Pacific. Maui is full of drama and serenity—a combo that’s hard to beat.
The Garden Isle. Think misty cliffs, hidden beaches, and rain-soaked jungles. Kauai feels a bit more untouched, and I’d be all in for a rugged elopement or intimate wedding here.
Volcanic landscapes, black sand beaches, and starry night skies. The Big Island offers a vibe that’s more grounded and elemental. Perfect for couples who want something different.
I approach every wedding with a blend of documentary storytelling and cinematic beauty. I want you to feel like yourselves in every frame—not overly posed, not disconnected from the moment.
I’m big on light, emotion, movement, and natural interactions. I’ll help you with the logistics, scouting, timing, and location planning, so you can focus on the experience.
And if you’re thinking about an elopement, an intimate celebration, or something off the beaten path—I’m 100% on board.
The idea of going back to Hawaii now, as an adult, with a camera in hand and a couple ready to tell their story? That hits deep. It’s not just about photographing a wedding—it’s about returning to a place that sparked something in me as a kid, long before I even realized what storytelling with a camera could mean.
To create something lasting in a place that’s lived in my memory for so long? That would be a full-circle moment.
Whether you’re planning a cliffside elopement, a beachfront wedding, or a laid-back celebration surrounded by your favorite people—I’d be honored to capture it in Hawaii.
