As a wedding photographer, I’m drawn to stories—not just the ones that unfold in front of my lens, but the ones that lead us to the people and places that matter most. And for me, Australia isn’t just a dream destination for its stunning scenery or warm light (though it has plenty of both).
Australia is special because it’s where part of my story begins.
My grandmother was originally from Perth, on the western coast of Australia. She met my grandfather there during World War II, when he was stationed in the Pacific as part of the United States Navy. He served aboard a submarine that had left Pearl Harbor just one month and three days before it was attacked. It sailed from Hawaii to patrol the Pacific Islands and the northern coast of Australia, and somewhere along that route—fate stepped in.
They met. They fell in love. And the rest, as they say, is history.
So yeah, photographing a wedding in Australia would mean more to me than checking off a location. It would be about coming full circle in a place where my family’s journey began.
I’ve always loved photographing in environments that feel raw, cinematic, and naturally beautiful—which makes Australia a perfect fit. From vibrant coastal towns to rugged outback landscapes, there’s such incredible variety here that speaks to the kind of storytelling I aim for: grounded, emotional, and visually rich.
Here are just a few dream locations I’d love to shoot in:
Because of my grandmother, Perth will always hold a place in my heart. But beyond that personal connection, the landscapes are stunning—from the rocky cliffs of Yanchep to the glowing red tones of Kalbarri, and the endless white sands of Cottesloe Beach. I’d love to capture a sunset ceremony along the coast or an intimate wedding in the bushland just outside the city.
Soft pastel skies, rolling waves, and laid-back beach energy? Yes, please. These coastal towns are full of charm and make for the kind of relaxed, meaningful wedding days I love to document.
Rugged coastlines, moody forests, and untouched wild beauty. It’s the kind of place that feels tucked away from the world. Ideal for couples who want something intimate and different.
Just outside of Sydney, this region is full of deep valleys, eucalyptus trees, and misty lookouts. Picture a couple sharing their vows on a cliff’s edge with fog swirling through the canyon below.
A wedding near Uluru or somewhere remote in the Northern Territory would be nothing short of surreal. The earthy tones, open skies, and spiritual energy of the land would make for a deeply memorable and visually stunning experience.
I’m drawn to contrast, to the balance between bold landscapes and quiet human moments. Australia’s wide range of terrain and dramatic lighting make it ideal for the kind of work I love doing—photos that feel as alive as the day itself.
Whether it’s sun-drenched portraits on the beach, a windswept veil on a cliffside, or golden hour lighting the red dirt underfoot, Australia offers the kind of variety and visual depth that makes each wedding feel entirely its own.
The idea of photographing a wedding in the same region where my grandparents met would feel like honoring their love story through my own work. I never had the chance to meet my grandfather, but I know their meeting changed everything—for them, and eventually, for me.
To be able to return to Western Australia not just as a visitor, but to document a modern love story through the lens of my own family history, would be beyond meaningful.
Whether you’re planning an intimate coastal elopement, a full wedding celebration in the outback, or a quiet ceremony under the stars, I would be honored to document it.
My bags are packed. My passport’s ready. And I would be absolutely thrilled to help you plan a wedding in one of the most beautiful and personally meaningful places I could imagine.
Let’s make some magic together—in Australia.
