When I first arrived at Airola Road Vineyard in Murphys, California, I knew it was going to be an incredible day. This Murphys wedding venue sits high in the Sierra Foothills, offering stunning views of Calaveras County vineyards on one side and a breathtaking panorama overlooking the New Melones Reservoir with the Sierra Nevada mountain range in the distance. The rolling hills, golden sunlight, and scenic beauty made this the perfect setting for a romantic Northern California wedding.

Getting Ready at Airola Road Vineyard

The day started with groom prep at the Airola Road Vineyard Casita, where Daniel and his groomsmen got ready. Even from there, the Sierra Nevada Foothills views were stunning, setting the tone for a picture-perfect wedding day. There was so much excitement and laughter between him and the guys, and it was a blast capturing those candid moments.

Next, I headed over to the bridal suite located in the Airola Road Vineyard Villa, where Reyna and her bridesmaids were getting ready. I started with detail shots of her wedding dress, bridal accessories, and bouquet, followed by some beautiful getting-ready portraits on the balcony. The natural light paired with the surrounding vineyard made for an incredible backdrop that truly highlighted Reyna’s beauty. Before getting into her dress, we captured some fun bridesmaid moments, and then her sister helped her with the final touches in the spacious living room.

A Beautiful Wedding Ceremony in the Sierra Foothills

The Murphys wedding ceremony setup was absolutely gorgeous. The sun was shining, the sky had just the right amount of clouds, and the Calaveras County vineyard views stretched for miles. A live mariachi band in Murphys, CA, played as guests gathered, setting the perfect tone for the celebration. Then came one of my favorite wedding entrances ever—Reyna arrived in a classic car that fit the vineyard setting perfectly.

Their ceremony was filled with so much laughter, love, and emotion, with guests cheering them on every step of the way. And just when I thought it couldn’t get any better—after they shared their first kiss and walked down the aisle, guests surprised me with confetti cannons! It was such an epic moment and made for some truly amazing wedding photos.

Golden Hour Portraits in the Vineyards

After the ceremony, we headed poolside for Reyna and Daniel’s first dance with the beautiful Airola Road Vineyard Villa backdrop. Then, we gathered everyone for a big wedding guest group photo, followed by family portraits and bridal party photos.

Once we finished those, it was time for bride and groom sunset portraits using the beutiful Sierra Nevada view that Airola Road Vineyard had to offer, and wow—this venue delivered. The way the golden light hit the rolling hills was absolutely breathtaking. Northern California wedding photography doesn’t get much better than this!

A Fun and Energetic Wedding Reception in Murphys, CA

After wrapping up portraits, we headed to the courtyard located in front of the Villa for the reception. Reyna and Daniel made their grand entrance into the reception at Airola Road Vineyard, followed by a fun bridal party dance to kick off the night.

Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner while listening to heartfelt wedding toasts from family and friends, and then the energy picked right back up with family dances and open dancing. This crowd brought their A-game! The dance floor was packed all night, with guests celebrating, laughing, and having the time of their lives.
